Why HippoHX name

As stated in the FAQs we couldn't use Screenweaver as project name so we had to find something else. Out of nowhere really, hippopotamus came to play. Why?

  • They are powerful.
  • They are fast.
  • They look cute (when they are babies!).

And those 3 seemed to be very good features for a tool like the one we wanted to develop.

And finally we wanted to pay tribute to haXe, the very base of everything, that's why we added the final "HX".

So, that's the story :)

ps: The cuteness is because our GUI wants to be nice && easy && cute.
